Somazina has a favourable safety profile. In a study involving 4,191 patients with acute stroke, no significant safety concerns about Somazina were identified. More than 99% of patients experienced no side effects during the study. Only one case, which involved elevated liver enzymes, was related to Somazina and the levels of liver enzymes of this patient returned to normal 4 days after stopping Somazina .
